According to this CNN article Tennessee has seven cities in the Fifty Least Expensive Cities to Live. That's TOUCHDOWN TENNESSEE, sports econ fans!
Four of those seven cities are in the Medlock home territory of East Tennesee--Knoxville, Morristown, Kingsport, and Johnson City. The list reflects what a couple without children who hold
middle management jobs would need to earn to replicate a moderately
affluent lifestyle in various cities.
Click the column headers to see most expensive cities. New York City and San Francisco head that list. What a surprise.

And more people are going to be making living decisions based on where it is cheaper to live. Absolutely, cost of living during retirement is going to be huge.
