I went 3-2 last week and that makes me 7-3 for the year. I missed (barely) Wake Forest beating Mississippi and East Carolina cutting down West Virginia. But I've realigned some synapses in my brains and I'm feeling a 5-0 week coming. Here's my picks of the week:
Tennessee 30, UAB 13--Anything less than a three touchdown differential in this game and I think Phil Fulmer will have the wolves howling at him. After losing to UCLA this better be a win and it better be big. The Vols just have too much talent to be wasting it like they did in LA.
Southern Cal 30, Ohio State 13--I think the Buckeyes are overmatched at every position in this one. Jim Tressel may conistently have the best #2 ranked teams ever but I don't think his teams can match the PAC-10 or the SEC in athleticism.
Georgia 27, South Carolina 23--Steve Superior thinks this is his best team ever. If that's true they wouldn't have lost to Vanderbilt. Can he spring an upset against the Dawgs? Not unless Mick Vick is in charge of the Dawgs.
BYU 33, UCLA 17--Tennessee made the Bruins look a lot better than they really are. BYU won't make that mistake in front of their hometown fans.
Fresno St 27, Wisconsin 24--I like both these teams and I think they'll both end their season in a bowl game. But Big Ten teams never seem to play well against teams outside of their conference. This one is my upset special of the week.
