I went a sparkling 5-0 last week. The logarithms that I reconfigured obviously worked to perfection. I've left them alone this week and I'm looking forward to another 5-0. I'm now 21-9 for the year. The picks:
Georgia 27, Tennessee 16--I'm hoping for a rain out in Athens. That's the best we've got to hope for. And that's all I've got to say about that.
Oklahoma 30, Texas 23--The number one team in the country stays number one. There's just too much firepower on the Sooners offense for Texas to stay with them. I see the Sooners keeping this ranking the rest of the season. Something tells me my friend Katherine in OK likes that idea. Her Redskins are winning too. She's having a good year.
LSU 28, Florida 27--This is my upset special of the week. I just don't think the Gators have looked as good as they're ranked. They didn't do much to win at Tennessee. The Vols offense gift-wrapped that win and then Ole Miss caught them napping. They won't be napping for the Tigers but I think LSU has the better athletes.
North Carolina 27, Notre Dame 17--Butch Davis has the Tar Heels playing pretty good football. Notre Dame's soft schedule hurts them. Clausen gets intercepted three times and the Irish bite the dust at Chapel Hill.
Penn St 27, Wisconsin 23--The Badgers laid an egg last week just like I predicted. But I think they rebound from that and play JoePa's team tough. But not enough to pull out the win.

Oh, Lewis! I am just sick! I absolutely believe that football is a team sport, and hate to point at certain players, as 'musts', but when OU lost Ryan Reynolds, LB, our defense acted like they were totally lost!! And they were!
