I went 3-2 last week in the pay for play league. Combine that with my feeble effort in the college game and I was 5-5 for last week. If I keep that level of picking up I'll surely be qualified to run for Congress. I'm now 13-7 for the year in the pro picks. Here's my picks for this week:
Ravens 20, Titans 16--This battle of the two best defenses in the NFL gets decided by the home field advantage of the Ravens. The only way for the Titans to overcome that is for Vince Young or Chris Johnson to get loose for a 40+ yard TD run. Young won't play so that leaves it up to Johnson. We shall see. I'm hoping that I miss this pick.
Dolphins 27, Chargers 24--The team that ended the Patriot's regular season win streak has gained some confidence. The Chargers haven't played like the talent they have. Norv Turner is still suspect as an NFL head coach in my eyes. The Dolphins make him look even more that way.
Eagles 30, Redskins 24--The 'Skins looked great last week in Dallas. The Eagles lost to the Bears. I think the 'Skins will find it much more difficult to play in Philly. Eagles fly high in this one.
Bills 30, Cardinals 23--Bills continue to surprise everyone. The Cards defense went into the tank big time last week by allowing Bret Favre to throw six, count em, TDs. And the Cards are missing Anquan Boldin. They get shot down two weeks in a row.
Jaguars 23, Steelers 20--A return engagement from the playoffs last year in which the Jags beat the Steelers. QB David Garrard hasn't looked as good as he did last year but he rallies big and the Steelers suffer another meltdown.

You're dead solid right, Kat. But they've made believers out of me. I won't be picking against them again. At least not anytime soon. Let's hope that doesn't jinx them. Fortunately they aren't on the Titans schedule.
