I went 4-1 last week and that makes
me 38-22 for the
year. I'm trying hard to bounce back from the last few weeks of horrible picks. I need another 4-1 or 5-0 week to get back to nominal. I think this week is going to do it.
The picks:
Vanderbilt 24, Tennessee 13--You know it's been a bad year for the Big Orange when you pick Vandy to beat them. Unless former third stringer B.J. Coleman gets to play the Vol offense once again will be nonexistent.
Oklahoma 33, Texas Tech 31--Sooners are damn near unbeatable at home and if I'm not mistaken the Red Raiders beat them in Lubbock last year to end their shot at a national championship game. It's payback time in Norman.
Utah 30, BYU 27--Who would have thought that two teams from Utah would be playing at such a high level with one in the top ten? The Utes are there for a reason and they send the Cougars back to Provo.
Ball State 30, Central Michigan 29--I don't know anything about either one of these teams except that Dave Letterman graduated from Ball State. I like him better than Leno. That makes me pick Ball State. Who says these picks aren't scientific?
Cincinnati 33, Pittsburgh 23--Cincy's Brian Kelly is the latest coach rumored to be coming to Tennessee. I think he skips it if offered because he thinks Notre Dame's job comes open next year. Oh, and in the meantime he collects another scalp with this win over Pittsburgh.
