As you read this the Medlocks are on their way to Augusta, Georgia.
We are heading down for the Tuesday Masters practice round. Yes, I was lucky enough to get tickets. I have been lucky twice now with the last time coming in 2004. Prior to that I went to the first round in 1995. So this is my third trip and Mrs. Medlock's second. I don't play much golf anymore but I always enjoy the Masters on TV. Except for the sappy music they play. Dave Loggins, an East Tennessee boy wrote that song and I'm not sure I forgive him for it.
I actually prefer going to the practice rounds. Players are more relaxed and will interact with the crowd. In 2004 we followed Fuzzy Zoeller's group for a time and he was hilarious. That was also the day in which John Daly teed off a Diet Coke can instead of a tee on number eleven. It went down the middle about 260 yards.
Augusta is not a bad drive, maybe 6 hours even taking it leisurely and that is what we're going to do. Back in town Tuesday night.
